If no one rmb, there was a scene in the previous manga about a necklace that Shuri mysteriously received after entering the estate, probably from the emperor or ex suitor of the prev empress, and innocently, Shuri had shown it to the late marquess. Bound by jealousy and possessiveness, the marquess beaten Shuri up bc she is ‘unfaithful’ which caused her to run back home. This traumatic event was suppressed in her memory as a psychological response and we didn’t know this until this chapter which explains everything in detail.
So she ran after he husband had beat her, I’m guessing, and blocked it out. She would likely have to explain why she had the necklace and what her husband did when he found it, regardless of her words telling him it wasn’t what he assumed
