@justanormalreader this is incorrect, shamshir is a persian word and a type of persian/iranian sword not Turkish. Also the safavids empire was a persian empire you can require all this info on Google
Somewhere in this chapter Nora mentions about safavid’s sword shamshir and i wanted to give more info .The legendary Turkish sword shamshir is actually one of the best swords in the world, unfortunately, not many people know. Actually The Japanese sword katana is very similar to the shamshir, both have some features of their own, but the shamshir is a little superior than katana
