but also why tf would the crown prince’s faction give a fuck if some sickly other prince comes back? he’s not actually a threat for inheritance. most kings tried to have a bunch of potential heirs just in case anything went wrong, and the rest would go on to inherit duchies or whatever. not that i’m poo-pooing court intrigue; i love that shit. i just feel like we need more context than they gave us
