I’m starting to think the FL is dumb. Like she already changed the story had she not been there to marry the current Duke so he could be duke, his uncle would be duke and that sassy boy fawning all over her sister would have been the one to rescue her in the original story. Like it’s pretty obvious but she hasn’t put it together even a little??
I also hate the misunderstanding, but I suspect it was done better in the novel version of this story. Even if it wasn’t, outside of the misunderstanding this is a fun story.
