sometimes i think authors really dont think well enough when they put in lines like this
“yeah i was a slave in my last life, lived a life on the battlefield with nonstop hardship, and died after losing a war…. but being a poor noble girl with only one maid and a bad reputation is just as bad”
like ngl, my life isnt nearly as hard as her first life, but if i woke up as a half-noble with a maid and a bad reputation, it would still be a significant upgrade?? in what way is being a fallen noble as bad or worse than being a slave??????????????????????

like she might not like her new life, that’s valid, but in what way would she think it was as bad or worse???? if she has the money to keep a maid hired, she could prolly fire her, save the money, and since she doesnt really need a maid, just do her own cooking and cleaning. cut back on the meaningless bullshit that nobles think they ‘need’ and automatically become significantly wealthier. she’s only a half noble and the bad reputation only really matters in noble circles…. so just dont hang out in noble circles? get a job with the commoners and live a simple life
