After being discharged due to an injury, Damian decides to visit the address where he sent letters to find Lady Lintray, but he is met with unexpected news. “If the Lintray you’re talking about is the maid in that house, she’s dead.” The house where she was supposed to be had burned to the ground, leaving Damian with only questions about Lady Lintray. The story is not cliche at all and is quite interesting to read with how different yet well fleshed out it is. The art is decent but with how they portray battle I am inclined to take it over more flashy art styles- keeps it more grounded tbh.
I genuinely almost cried reading this because of how accurate the portrayal of war is and how veterans are often treated. The FL is very similar to others in terms of personality but the main plot difference makes her so much more nuanced and unique and I cannot wait to see the exploration of her character.
The ML is handsome and overall portrayed in such a careful and considerate way with the main couple being well fleshed out individually which gauges the readers curiosity to see if their relationship will flourish. Genuinely despite it only being 25 chapters, it’s in my top 10 and I pray to god the quality of the writing doesn’t decrease.

This made my heart break. It’s so realistic. Like how disabled people and military people are treated. But there are so many moments that make me get a warm feeling inside. The feeling of hope that ml gets when writing his replies.. 10/10 would recommend if you want to feel bittersweetness. Please have a happy ending!!!
