1. Avalanche

   There may be a few minor spoilers ahead.
   So, I read 19 chapters and then dropped it all.
   I just couldn’t stand the setting of the story anymore.
   First of all, art and translation are fine.
   Also, the female lead is likable and fine as well.
   There are some negative comments about her below, but I can’t understand them at all.
   She’s in a shitty family situation and has to fight for a lot of things.
   As a result, she has developed a strong personality and a few realistic trust issues. That’s all.
   The male lead, on the other hand, is a “can do anything” type that every female in this story seems to be into. Some say he’s a green flag, but so far I’m just saying he’s at least not a red flag.
   Also – for me – he’s portrayed as too annoyingly “perfect.”
   And now we come to the point why I stopped reading:
   Apparently, the author of the story thought it was normal to portray every male character —except for the ML— as absolute trash. Disgusting, se*ist trash that, of course, has it in for the FL in one way or another. Regardless of whether it really makes sense or not.
   What the hell is going on here? Add to that the cliché of a villainess with red hair who has a crush on Mr. ML and, because her feelings are not reciprocated, is super shitty towards the FL instead of seeing the problem in herself or her relationship with the ML.
   I really hate this cheap, toxic portrayal of women against women.
   So I can’t recommend this one to anyone who finds what I’ve described equally awful.
   Just do something better with your precious time. ❤

   I really don’t get why people are complaining about the FL. Is it just because she has pride and doesn’t act cute around the ML? She believes in herself instead of blindly chasing love—especially for someone who can’t even cancel his engagement. Why should she throw away all her hard work for someone like that? So far, the story is good, and I hope it keeps getting better. (Chapter 25)

   Notes: FMl drank holy water as a result of a guy, Gregory who wanted to get back at her for insulting him. Holy water induces sexual desire and so she slept with Elex in chap. 7-9 thinking he wouldn’t get attached, but ML always liked her though he pretends to be indifferent.
   Her father abuses her, wanting her at top spot in the academy. Plans to sell her to the highest bidder after graduating. Her brother George is trash too. Her best friend is likeable and somewhat funny.
   Red hair girl thinks she’ll marry Elex and dislikes Tila, fml.
   Tila is not weak or dumb, and she stands up for herself. We don’t know much about the ML yet except he’s a Duke, pretty much good at everything and Tila hates him because he has life easy.

   Art is great! ML is a green flag. But i had to drop the novel because FL is such an unlikable prickly cactus, that I had to really suspend belief that the ML would have ever fallen in love with her. It seems like the manhwa toned her behavior down a bit, so I will probably continue to read just the manhwa for now.

   Really good so far, someone with too much of a prude perspective must have give 1 star to it and that’s why it went down, but it’s a very nice narrative, with lots of potential to grow.

   In my opinion… Before judging a story you should read at least 10 – 20 chapters and then decide. So far, it’s really good!
   We have a strong FL that defends herself, and tries her best at everything she does, even though almost everyone around her is trash, you meet those kinds of people everywhere, and sometimes you don’t even know it.
   Be understanding and have a bit of patience, a story needs time to develop, not everything is perfect at first, and if you think so, dear, you are completly wrong.
   If the quality of the plot decreases, then you can complain and drop it.
   Like I said… So far the art is good, the plot is good, give it a try 😉

   I immediately lost interest when some trash was speaking vulgarly of the fl in the first chapter and he just listened, that trash was actually speaking of r wording the fl, meanwhile the ml just listens. Idc abt any other explanation, he is trash. I am not even into knowing about his pov, I am ok with misunderstandings but he is a bit too toxic for her.
