Defraeter
The heroine’s tribulations are amusing, but unfortunately, around the middle of chapter 20, the situation deteriorates.
The story becomes chaotic, but not in an entertaining way, and the characters’ decisions become inconsistent. The male lead turns out to be obsessive and suffocating, especially as he appears to be a ‘jack of all trades’ with the special power of ‘teleporting to the female lead’s side as soon as she is in danger’.
And the artwork doesn’t help, as the quality drops dramatically around chapter 30 and it becomes difficult to recognise the characters.
The author throws out one mystery after another without developing anything; it’s just a cheap tactic to hook the reader. The atmosphere is frustrating, especially as the story of a ‘liberated woman’ gradually shifts towards a paternalistic plea…

The art is much better than the cover art, this is hilarious and the ML x FL are a fun pair. Her family are trash but she handles it well and nothing dwells on darkness for long before the FL is up to some funny scheme gone awry. The supporting characters are interesting in their own way too. A most enjoyable read!
