   Everyone hating on FL???
   She was abused and used and now she’s doing her best in a position she was forced in. She spent two years doing her duty as duchess and asking nothing of the man who cared more about marrying her than having her be happy. She had no one on her side. Everyone there was the Duke’s person, and thus, cared about her bearing an heir or her representing the duchy well.
   She is an incredibly strong person who latched onto the first person who seemed to be on her side. And her husband told her nothing! He never justified his suspicions with facts and even admitted it might be jealousy. We the readers know what’s up, but you’re asking her to be near omniscient.
   Anyways, I hope she leaves him for good and lives a good life in a house on the beach

      im sorry the man that tells her that he’s devoted to her and will wait for her to love him and whatever she needs he will help her with “doesnt care about her”. mkay. did you read it?

      her little outburst at the start felt so strong, i was like oh he must be a massive piece of shit and then the plot is oh this man cares about her and marries her to protect her from getting sold off essentially and shes saying stuff like he’s neglected her and just ignored her? she basically doesnt want to spend time with her but he’s repeatedly told her that he cares for her and wants her to be happy?? she deserves to be unhappy honestly.

      Literally never said that lol.
      I said that he put marrying her above her happiness, which he did. Yes, he worked hard for her later on but before all that, when he made her think the marriage was for his own convenience she begged him to let her go. She was absolutely miserable at the thought of marrying the brother of her love. But he decided that he loved her so he was allowed to use any means necessary to get her to marry him and I guess try to make her happy later.
      Also, you can certainly “say” a lot of things to people, that doesn’t mean you followed through on it. Even when he’s treating her better later on, I can still judge him and find him lacking for what he did to get there

   The female lead is legitimately a terrible person. Trauma from a fucked up family and dead fiance doesnt even explain it. Nobody feels real, they’re all making terrible choices, the story is just weak and crumbling.

   I got to chapter 11 and stopped this is really bad , female lead isn’t a good person and expects different outcomes without any input, I don’t like her at all , she is very annoying 🤦‍♀️ I gave this 2 stars it’s a pass for me .
