Read manhwa Brinny And The Empty Seat / 브린니와 빈자리
A story about a possessor in a book who would even commit murder to achieve their goals.
Brinny, who lived in compliance with her stepfather, thought it was something that had nothing to do with her—until she got entangled in an incident with the sickly 2nd Prince, Lucian.
In a moment of crisis, Brinny uses her immense strength to save Lucian and feels relieved when she sees that the possessor ‘Aridna’ has been captured, believing everything has been resolved.
But somehow, her beloved sister and the 1st Prince die in a carriage accident, and afterwards, even her now-fiancé Lucian starts acting strangely.
Wasn’t the possessor executed in the past?
Could ‘Aridna’ still be alive?
Determined to fill the void left by her lost loved ones, Brinny makes up her mind.
She will fight against the possessor.

It’s just completely bad. The storytelling is bad. The scene where Ariana tires to murder the second prince makes 0 sense. And the fact that she lives in compliance with her father despite her strength that is enough to suppress rival families is also dumb. Not to forget that he used her to only threaten other without her ever having to fight or kill the rivals is also ridiculous. Seems like no one got the idea to just assassinate her?

Premise SPOILER up to chapter 6:
‘Possessors’ seem to be a common problem in the setting, and they’re thought of as evil spirits. It’s unknown whether they’re from our world like other isekais, but possessors talk about being in a book, so I assume it’s something similar.
One murderous possessor (Aridna) starts the story by trying to kill the boy prince Lucian, who she says will grow up to be a tyrant and possibly murder the body she’s possessed. The MC is a minor character of the setting and has nothing to do with possessors. The MC saves Lucian, and Aridna is seemingly executed.
Years later, the MC and Lucian are about to be married, when Aridna incarnates in Lucian’s body. In fifteen days, she will take over Lucian’s body permanently.
The MC must find a way to get rid of Aridna and save Lucian.

They story feels unique so far, if confusing at points. The art is very nice. We’ll see how it plays out.
