FYI for who wants to read this to avoid confusion; they make the mistake like every Korean author to call ladies in waiting & attendents ; maids.
Korean manhwa artists do not understand that difference & never research it for some reason.
Both of the former are nobles & do not do chores. Ladies in waiting are unwed young noble maidens who are compagnions & chaperones of girls of higher noble houses. Basically an entourage.
They go to activities, parties together, trips, help organise (tea)parties, write invitations & make connections, help choose & order jewelry/clothing costumes etc
So that later on when they are all married they become socialites & hosts.
Attendents are nobles who do administrations & Basically personal assistants.
Maid are ALWAYS commoners, theydo chores, but also help their masters dress, bathe etc
This is why ppl are so chocked about the MC being royalty’s attendant bc she’s a commoner
